NÔMADE

sustainability

We care for the land that welcomes us.

Explore our sustainable practices, local collaborations, and efforts to leave every place better than we found it.

Understanding the fragile balance between human occupation with the natural world makes the guarantee of a harmonic coexistence pivotal to the development of any Nômade Temple.

Challenging the status quo and reimagining the standards of hospitality is where true collective awareness begins. As an industry deeply rooted in the beauty of the Earth and the cultural richness of local communities, we are aware of our responsibility. This awareness informs every decision we make. For Nomade People, the coexistence of nature, culture, and human experience is the foundation of our development ethos. Whether in remote natural landscapes or vibrant urban settings, each of our properties is designed to meet distinct environmental, social, and cultural needs, with sustainability at the heart of every project.

Our Sustainability Program

Our dedicated ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) department leads the implementation of our Sustainability Program—ensuring we honor and protect the environment, local cultures, and communities. Grounded in the three pillars of sustainable development—environment, society, and circular economy—our program integrates care and responsibility into every aspect of our operations.

We take action to prevent pollution, comply with environmental and social regulations, promote energy efficiency, and responsibly manage waste (liquid, solid, and gaseous). Our architectural designs are holistic and sensitive to their surroundings, always seeking to preserve and regenerate local ecosystems. We continuously improve our environmental management systems in line with international ISO standards, guided by a deep respect for the natural world that underpins everything we do.

Key Pillars of Our

Sustainability Program

01

Community Partnerships

Every Nômade Temple is rooted in a place of cultural and ecological richness. We begin by building strong partnerships with local communities—especially in nature-centered locations where collaboration is essential to address human-wildlife coexistence and foster ecological stewardship.

02

Research and Development

Through ongoing research, we inform our decisions, deepen community engagement, and measure our impact. Sharing these insights not only fosters transparency but also strengthens support for both current and future sustainability initiatives.

03

Business Leadership

True sustainability is built on integrity, ethics, long-term thinking, and humility. Our business model is centered on mutual growth—creating meaningful value for local populations while building resilient and conscious hospitality ventures.

04

Stakeholder Collaboration

We work closely with a wide range of stakeholders—from community members to governmental institutions. Open, honest dialogue and cross-sector collaboration are key to fostering trust and ensuring lasting positive impact.

Concrete Actions Aligned with Our Sustainability Principles

At a Nômade Temple, sustainability is lived through intentional action. Grounded in our commitment to environmental and social regeneration, we translate values into practices that guide daily operations and long-term strategies—rooted in the principles of the UN Global Compact and brought to life through local engagement and global awareness.

Our concrete actions include:

  • Adherence to the UN Global Compact
We align our values and practices with the ten universal principles on human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption.

  • Sustainable Procurement & Waste Management
We have intentionally sought and formed partnerships with suppliers who share our sustainability ethos. These companies monitor product life cycles, reuse materials, and take responsibility for waste disposal and recycling. Across all properties, we implement robust waste separation programs that support recycling and responsible disposal. We currently recycle at least 14 types of materials, including Tetrapack, cardboard, aluminum, PET plastic, glass, LDPE plastic, cigarette butts, coffee capsules, coconuts, candles, and sawdust.

  • Organic Waste Composting & Inorganic Waste Recycling
Food and garden waste are composted on-site, contributing to regenerative landscaping and farming practices, while inorganic materials are properly classified and sent to certified recycling facilities.

  • Safe Disposal of Hazardous Waste
We follow strict protocols for the safe and compliant disposal of hazardous materials, protecting both people and ecosystems.

  • Zero Plastic Policy
Our operational policy eliminates single-use plastics and promotes sustainable alternatives throughout the guest and back-of-house experience.

  • Flora and Fauna Protection
All projects incorporate biodiversity protection plans that preserve native species and ecosystems, especially in nature-centered locations.

  • Carbon Emission Mitigation & Offset
We actively calculate our carbon footprint based on energy and fuel consumption, transportation of guests and supplies, waste generation, and visitation numbers. We implement mitigation strategies and partner with offset initiatives to neutralize our impact. Additionally, by prioritizing local suppliers and producers—especially small and medium enterprises—we reduce emissions from logistics and foster a fairer distribution of regional wealth.

  • Farm-to-Table Organic Food Initiatives
We cultivate our own organic gardens and partner with regenerative farms to offer guests fresh, seasonal, and sustainable cuisine.

  • Beach & Nature Cleanup Days
In collaboration with local communities, we organize cleanup events to preserve our surrounding ecosystems and inspire collective action.

  • Support for Local Suppliers and Brands
We prioritize locally made, consciously sourced products—supporting artisans, producers, and changemakers who reflect the spirit of their territories.

  • Collaborations with Local Organizations & Communities
We co-create programs that preserve cultural heritage, promote social innovation, and deepen our local impact.

Wellbeing, Culture & Human Development

  • Wellness Program
We care for the wellbeing of our team with a corporate wellness program designed to foster physical, emotional, spiritual, and social balance. Developed with external wellness coaches, this initiative offers practical tools to live and work with intention, health, and harmony.

  • Training & Capacity Building
Through our dedicated Human Development department, we offer continuous training programs focused on personal growth, professional skills, and tourism industry standards—empowering collaborators to reach their full potential.

  • Inclusive & Ethical Hiring
Our Human Development and CSR department is committed to an inclusive, equitable recruitment process that promotes diversity. We hire based on merit, capacity, and attitude—without discrimination of race, sex, age, religious creed, or social condition. Equal opportunity and treatment are guaranteed across all roles and teams.

  • Music as a Social Connector: Nômade Symbiosis
Music is central to our ethos of human connection. Through the Nômade Symbiosis project, we co-create musical collaborations that uplift communities with a strong cultural music heritage. These experiences not only preserve traditions but also promote sustainable cultural development through creativity and connection.
